Women’s Fellowship enjoyed the meetings at the end of 2016, in October we held our craft competition, which was judged by Susan Williams and won by Maggie Mobsby with a lovely man’s black and white jumper. In November, we had a lesson in Hand Bell Ringing by the Petersfield W.I. Also, the Edinburgh Wool Mill came to demonstrate their latest fashions and the members were able to purchase any clothes at 20% discount.

We celebrated Christmas with the annual Great Christmas Raffle and Christmas Party, and we were joined by Rev’d Ruth Loveman and Rev’d Bob Woodward and Louise. We also donated to three charities as is our usual practice at this time of year, this year we nominated The Elizabeth Foundation, The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance Service, and St Wilfrid’s Messy Church giving each one £100.

We started the new year with a talk from Bob France about the life of Lady Hamilton, Cynthia Whittle gave us a talk in February about Annie Vallotton, “A Very Special Lady” who had illustrated the Good News Bible with lovely line drawings which helped people in foreign countries understand the bible more easily.

On March 18th, we will be hosting one of the Lent Lunches in support of Naomi House, which I am sure will be well attended. We look forward to celebrating Easter and our AGM to be held on April 4th .
