Knit or crochet poppies to remember those who died for our freedom

St Wilfrid’s Church is looking to create an outside display of poppies for Remembrance Sunday, made by the community for the community in honour of those who have given their lives on our behalf.

Can you help?

Please knit or crochet your poppies and bring to St Wilfrid’s Church (open daily 8.30am to 5pm). We have some poppy patterns to download – see below. It doesn’t matter if they are big or small, but please can they be either joined in strips of 5 or leave the ‘tails’ on to make them easier to attach.

The deadline for the completed poppies is Monday 8 November

If you would like to help but are stuck for ideas, please contact Maria at maria@stwilfridscowplain.co.uk or 02392 262295.

You can also find patterns on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/stwilfridscowplain

Thank you!
